SingPass
SingPass, short for Singapore Personal Access, serves as a digital ID for all Singapore residents and citizens. It enables them to tap into more than 1,700 digital services offered by over 460 governmental agencies and businesses, whether online or in person. It’s a secure, convenient tool for performing sensitive data transactions with various government departments.
Who is SingPass for?
SingPass eligibility is quite broad and includes:
- Singapore citizens and permanent residents
- Employment Pass and Personalised Employment Pass holders
- EntrePass holders
- S-pass holders
- Selected Long Term Visit Pass holders
- Dependant Pass holders (linked to EP, PEP, EntrePass, and SPass holders)
- Long-Term Visit PassPlus (LTVP+) holders
- Work Permit holders
- Student Pass holders
- Immigration Exemption Order holders
SingPass for NonSingaporean Users
For those without an ID issued by the Singapore government, there’s an option to apply for a SingPass Foreign User Account (SFA). These accounts enable transactions in Singapore. However, access is limited to selected digital services provided by the SFA organization.
About the SingPass App
The SingPass app is accessible on Android and iOS devices and lets users sign in using their phone, fingerprint, or a 6-digit passcode.
With the SingPass app, you can:
- Safely log into frequently used government digital services like the CPF, HDB, IRAS, and NS Portal.
- Verify your identity in person, for instance, at SingHealth Polyclinics and Republic Plaza.
- Sign documents digitally.
- Receive notifications from government agencies in a timely manner.
- Complete more day-to-day transactions.
