Fully Digital iShop@ACRA Delivery Services From June 1, 2018
Since June 1, 2018, all business information products purchased from iShop@ACRA can only be done online via email. The Accounting and Corporate Regulatory Authority said following this move, the waiting period for customers has been greatly reduced. Following successful payment, all customers who purchase business information products will receive an email with a URL link to download the purchased report within 30 minutes.
Prior to this, customers were required to either collect the hard copy from ACRA’s service counters or wait for the products to be mailed to them. ACRA said that based on it’s records, most of it’s customers preferred to receive their purchased products via electronic means.
ACRA’s Manual Certification Have Stopped
Also, in line with the new initiative, all of ACRA’s manual certification also stopped since June 1 and all certification is now done electronically. Additionally, the fee of $2 for certifying documents has been reduced to $1 per page. To ensure easy verification, all e-certified products will include a QR code, electronic scanned signature and authentication number. This allows easy verification of the authenticity of the document and business information product. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs Consular Office recognises all documents that are electronically certified by ACRA, while the office will also legalise the certified documents for these to be accepted by embassies and foreign commissions.
For those who wish to purchase old manual forms such as Memorandum & Articles of Association or Annual Returns lodged by a company prior to Jan 2003, there are simple steps to be followed. Firstly, you will have to search for the availability of the extract using the Entity Name in the Business Entity search on BizFile+ portal and if the extract is searchable, proceed to submit a purchase request. However, if the required extract cannot be found in the Extract Search, submit an “Extract Request” on the extract required. Within a day, an email will be sent to confirm the availability of the extract and its exact transaction number for your online purchase. Once you make the payment, an email will be sent within 30 minutes with a URL link to download a PDF copy of the extract.
All business profiles with Certificate of Production, electronic certificates and extracts with electronic certification are electronically certified by ACRA. Each e-certified product includes a QR code, electronic scanned signature and authentication number which allows for the easy verification of the authenticity of the business information product.
