Their Services Rendered For The Good Of Our Nation Is Immeasurable
When there is a threat hovering over Singapore, who will first provide protection? The Singapore Armed Forces (SAF), of course! They are the front-liners of protection safeguard the nation. Be it a global threat or a local hazard; our servicemen have always given their fullest to ensure Singapore is safe. During any line of duty, our servicemen take risks to protect the country and its people. Hence, the SAF Care Fund is to provide for injured service members during their mission.
Caring For Long Term
The setting up of SAF Care Fund is as an additional provision to SAF service members who become severely disabled while on military duty. The Ministry of Defence Singapore (MINDEF) are already providing compensation and welfare for these servicemen. The Fund facilitates the public should they want to make a donation and show support for these servicemen. Donations sums to the Fund provide severely disabled service members that require long term care and support. Besides that, MINDEF also offers a matching grant for each service member.
Giving Back
The public is encouraged to donate to the SAF Care Fund. Although MINDEF already compensates the servicemen, we all know that the high cost of living in Singapore is very pressing. Even more so when you are severely disabled. These servicemen have given their best when the country calls for them. It is only fair that as empathetic citizens, we give back to the betterment of society. Being charitable also has its perks. If you make contributions to the SAF Care Fund, you can claim it as a tax deduction. For more information on this, find out more in the IPC guidelines.
3E Accounting Cares
