3E Accounting commissioned the Singapore Media Academy
3E Accounting commissioned the Singapore Media Academy to conduct Media Spokesperson Training for its Strategic Communications team, led by the company’s management.
Hosted at the MediaCorp campus at 1 Stars Avenue, the C-suite-level media training was conducted by Singapore Media Academy trainers who are veteran broadcast journalists. Through the media training, 3E Accounting PR and media team learnt how a journalist or reporter covers a story and conducts interviews. The team was given the unique opportunity to role-play scenarios supported by the full news desk and broadcast studio setup in Mediacorp, and coached by veteran trainers Augustine Anthuvan and Otelli Edwards in the following areas:
- Managing the Media
- Door-stop Interview
- Conducting Media Briefing
- Managing Media Conference
- One-on-one LIVE TV Interview
Chief Trainer Augustine Anthuvan was a journalist for more than 20 years. He started his career with Radio Singapore lnternational as Assistant Programme Director and radio broadcaster for 7 years, reporting on socio-political developments in Southeast Asia and became Channel News Asia’s Executive Producer for the Perspectives panel discussion series which he helmed for 8 seasons. Over the span of 14 years, as a senior TV journalist, Augustine covered numerous overseas news assignments and has written, produced and narrated several documentary programmes.
Otelli Edwards hosted nightly news shows during the 2004 Olympics in Athens and produced current affairs and news programmes for Mediacorp’s news radio station, 938LIVE. She is currently the anchor newscaster for News 5, Mediacorp’s daily news bulletin on Channel 5.
Under Augustine’s and Otelli’s guidance and coaching, 3E Accounting’s management, together with the PR and media team, developed a strong understanding of how the newsroom environment operates. The training helped the team strengthen its media-handling skills, including how to approach different types of interviews, deliver key messages clearly and consistently, and project a professional image to the media and the public.
