3E Accounting Founder Lawrence Chai was invited to – In Conversation with President Barack Obama. The learning journey for participants of the first-ever Accountancy Future Leaders Programme was jointly organised by the Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants (ISCA) and the Singapore Accountancy Commission (SAC).
The six-month Future Leaders Programme is aimed at gearing up future Accountancy sector leaders with leadership capabilities, market insights and improve the competitiveness of Small and Medium Accounting Practices (SMPs) for regional expansion.
Overview of the Conference
In Conversation with President Barack Obama was hosted by Nicholas Fang, former Nominated Member of Parliament (NMP) and Director for Security and Global Affairs at the Singapore Institute of International Affairs. The 44th President of the United States spoke about his personal journey of resilience, exceptional determination, perseverance and triumph. Former President Barack Obama also shared his perspective on leadership and addressed a wide range of challenges facing the global community, including climate change, the uneven dividends of globalisation and the widening wealth divide, to the merits and pitfalls of social media.
