Developing Web Application Software with SIT’s Future Minds
3E Accounting Came Together with SIT’s Bright Minds Through Industry Collaboration
3E Accounting and the students at Singapore Institute of Technology (SIT) worked on developing web application software in 2018.
The collaboration was part of the students’ Integrative Team Project. It was successfully completed on 31 July 2018. At 3E Accounting, we believe in being more than just another company focused on servicing the needs of clients. We believe in making a difference – a real difference – in our community.
Our corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives are focused on driving change. It is a commitment that we pay attention to very seriously. 3E Accounting has been fortunate enough to engage in several CSR initiatives since its inception. In 2018, we had the opportunity to work with some of SIT’s best and brightest, the future industry leaders of tomorrow.
The opportunity came about when students at SIT were tasked with developing web application software.
Why the Need for Developing Web Application Software?
SIT has always been a university that is a visionary. It believes that innovative learning can be accomplished by integrating learning with industry and community. SIT has always strived to develop and nurture its students so their talents can impact society in enriching ways. The Integrative Team Project was an approach towards accomplishing that goal.
3E Accounting was proud to be part of that collaboration. As part of the project, the students were grouped into teams to work in. Each team comprised of 5-6 students. Each team utilised their skills and knowledge they gained from everything they learned so far. All their expertise was channelled into the Integrative Team Project.
Working on developing web application software required the students to come up with solutions for real-world problems. These problems were solicited from industries to make the experience more relevant. This time, 3E Accounting was part of enhancing the students learning in this aspect.
Working as a team in the real world is crucial to the success of any company. As such, it is important that students develop these skills early on and this project allowed them to do that.
