Dear Valued Customers,
Welcome to our E-Newsletter September 2019
Welcome to our E-Newsletter September 2019! 3E Accounting is proud to announce that we are now the largest home-grown accounting network with a global footprint across all six continents. In the short span of three years since 3E Accounting International was set up in 2016, we have grown to over 90 offices in 60 countries with 1,300 staff internationally. These are more than numbers, they are a strong testament to our strategic partnerships with local entities, which allow us to leverage the expertise and experience of existing companies in local markets. The milestone achievement was featured in global advisory and consultancy platform, Consultancy.asia “3E Accounting International network reaches 60 member milestone”. As Singaporean companies are challenged to build the economy’s external wing through overseas expansion, 3E Accounting will draw on the lessons of our success to help companies go global by providing strategic advice and operational support.
News on the Employment Front
During the National Day Rally 2019, Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong announced that Singapore will raise CPF rates, and the retirement age and re-employment age to 65 and 70 respectively by 2030. The announcement came after the Government accepted the recommendations from a tripartite workgroup studying Singapore’s ageing workforce.
Fast forward to working parents who face the daily juggle between a successful career and harmonious family life. Work-life balance is now one of the top priorities for working parents looking for an Employer of Choice. To support families, 3E Accounting shared how the firm built up a pro-family workplace and how such family-friendly policies help increase employee morale, job satisfaction, and productivity at the My Family Weekend Employer Networking Seminar. Organised by The Families for Life Council, My Family Weekend Employer Networking Seminar is a forum for employers to share and exchange ideas on how to create a family-friendly workplace.
While salary transparency may be a taboo subject for many people, did you know the Norwegians have no issue with their personal information on salaries, property, and taxes being archived in the national database? On 88.3 Jia FM’s interview, 3E Accounting, together with Professor Walter Theseira, shared the benefits and challenges of implementing such a national database. We believe that salary transparency can help to address unfair salary conditions. At the same time, the openness, transparency and fairness of data may bring about better employment prospects for society as a whole.
