Dear Valued Customers,
This challenging year is only a few months away from coming to an end. It’s been a trying time for Singapore, and no doubt many countries across the world. I am confident we will emerge stronger and more resilient post COVID-19.
Emerging Stronger Conversation 2020
Singapore has proven to be resilient throughout this year. The Emerging Stronger Conversation (ESC) on the 2020 economy is part of the Singapore Together Movement. The ESC is an avenue for many Singaporeans like us to reflect collectively and reimagine Singapore’s resilient future in the post COVID-19 world.
I was happy to share my views with the ESC on how businesses can mitigate the risks of potential cheap-sourcing from global markets by recognising and actively promoting the quality of Singapore’s workforce and our nation’s brand. True to my beliefs, I have recruited local graduates under the SGUnited Traineeship programme to remotely support our Hong Kong office and overseas clients. As we are all in this together, we need to continue supporting one another for Singapore to emerge stronger and more resilient.
Thriving in the Next Future of ASEAN
Another conversation that 3E Accounting took part in was Thriving in the Next Future of ASEAN, which was a series of webinars organised by Singapore Chinese Chamber Of Commerce & Industry (SCCCI). My team and I have been facilitating companies to tap into the opportunities brought about by the thriving ASEAN regional trading bloc. The factors contributing to a surge in the quality of life within ASEAN regions have presented vast opportunities for businesses to grow and expand. These factors include an emerging middle class, enhanced educated talent pool across diverse verticals, the expanded cross-border activities and efficient market entry.
Timely Fair Employment Legislation
I had an opportunity to speak to TODAYonline, where I highlighted that leading global financial hubs in developed countries have fair employment legislation to support the resident workforce. I most certainly welcome Singapore’s timely introduction of measures to protect the local workforce in the challenging employment market brought about by the impact of the pandemic. At 3E Accounting, we invest significant resources in our local graduates by participating as a host organisation under the SGUnited Traineeship programme. 3E Accounting trainees are given opportunities to develop strong competencies to remotely support our local and international clients.
Digital Accountancy Forum and Awards 2020
The Digital Accountancy Forum and Awards 2020 will be organised virtually this year on 30 September 2020. With 10 Corporate Award Categories and 3 Individual Award Categories, I am honoured to be nominated in 2 Awards Categories. It is with your support that I have been shortlisted as a Finalist in the Young Accountant of the Year and Lifetime Achievement Awards. I will continue to give my best to support my clients.
Corporate Income Tax Submission Deadline
A kind reminder to all businesses that the deadline for corporate income tax submission of your company’s Form C/ Form C-S for the Year of Assessment 2020 is on 15 December 2020.
At 3E Accounting, we endeavour to innovate and support our clients with useful and relevant business solutions in the Digital Economy. Thank you for your support!
Thank you.
