Welcome to our August newsletter! How quickly 2020 has flown by! Despite the pandemic, there are many exciting things happening in Singapore this August, starting with our upcoming National Day.
Singapore Turns 55 on 9 August!
Our beautiful Singapore is turning 55 soon! From all of us at 3E Accounting, Happy National Day to all Singaporeans near and far. This year’s National Day parade is going to be different because of COVID-19. Celebrations will take place over the weekend with changes to accommodate public health. Still, we hope that everyone will continue to enjoy the festivities at home and stay safe with your families.
Making Our Mark in Hong Kong
Despite the myriad challenges this year, 3E Accounting has continued our outward expansion. We’ve established a foothold in Hong Kong! Our new Hong Kong office officially opened on 8 July 2020. This is a testament to what we can accomplish when we work together as a team. Our new office will expand the current services we offer to our Hong Kong-based clients. Those keen to invest and incorporate a business in Hong Kong will now have access to our extensive range of services that has helped launched many successful businesses. This represents 3E Accounting’s commitment to channel our expertise to support our clients’ overseas growth and expansion.
3E Accounting Goes Regional with SGUnited
We’ve propelled our regional expansion whilst supporting the SGUnited Traineeship programme. We will support and train these local Singapore graduates with all the relevant competencies they need to remotely support our Hong Kong clients and emerge stronger post COVID-19.
Fair Hiring
New licensing conditions have been put in place for Singapore employment agencies. This begins on 1 October 2020. The new conditions were introduced by the Ministry of Manpower (MOM) to strengthen fair hiring. The efforts are in line with the updated Fair Consideration Framework this year. MOM intends to work alongside progressive employment agencies (EAs) to help Singaporeans secure better jobs and traineeships through the SGUnited Jobs and Skills Package.
First in Industry to Achieve bizSAFE Level 4
We are now officially the first company in our industry to achieve bizSAFE Level 4 certification. This represents our commitment towards maintaining high levels of workplace safety and health (WSH) standards and protocols, and we strongly encourage our industry peers and other local enterprises to join us on the WSH Council bizSAFE journey.
