President’s Challenge Enabling Employment Pledge
3E Accounting Founder Lawrence Chai was invited by the People’s Association to the launch of the President’s Challenge Enabling Employment Pledge at the Enabling Village on 11 March 2020. Republic of Singapore President Halimah Yacob delivered the Guest-of-Honour Address.
More than 100 employers committed to building a more inclusive workforce for people with disabilities by signing the Enabling Employment Pledge, which was also witnessed by Minister for Social and Family Development and Second Minister for National Development Desmond Lee. The pledge will guide employers on how to develop an inclusive mindset, create barrier-free workplace environments and implement supportive employment policies for workers with disabilities. The pledge is part of the President’s Challenge 2020, which this year, focuses on empowering people with disabilities.
Project We Care CEO/Business Leaders Committee
Ms Wee Wei Ling, Chairperson of Project We Care, an initiative by CEOs, Business Leaders, and the People’s Association (PA) to encourage corporate giving and volunteerism, and Co-founder of Extra•Ordinary People met 3E Accounting Founder Lawrence Chai who agreed to become a member of the Project We Care CEO/Business Leaders Committee, and learn more from senior business leaders to contribute to helping the underserved segments in the community.
