Lawrence Chai, the Managing Director of 3E Accounting, made the decision to establish an accounting firm in Singapore, Novena in 2011 after witnessing the unfair practices conducted by other accounting firm. The couple noticed that accounting firms were not living up to their promise of offering high-quality services.

The Family-Oriented Culture of 3E Accounting Firm

3E Accounting promotes a family-oriented culture at their firm. Since women comprise eighty percent of the company’s staff, the founders have made several different facilities accessible to their employees, especially working mothers and soon-to-be-dads.

They offer their employees with flexible working hours and part-time work. Women with children can also bring their children to the workplace, as the accounting firm has provided a playroom for children to stay in while their mothers work.

For soon-to-be-dads, 3E Accounting offers paternity leave for three weeks. To improve the productivity and efficiency of employees, the accounting firm uses Robotic technology. Furthermore, the accounting firm also offers training and development opportunities to its employees.

Future Plans

3E Accounting firm has established a timeline for establishing other offices in other countries, specifically countries part of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN). They want to establish offices in Southeast Asian nations by 2017.
