Lawrence shared his experience using technology to create a high trust high work-life harmony culture in 3E Accounting where every employee enjoys the flexibility to work anywhere at any time, with full access to email, documents management, calendar scheduling, backed by Cloud-based solutions and VPN servers.
How To Run Your Accountancy Practice Without An Office
The online audience posed questions on cost-effective Cloud-based as well as accounting tools to Lawrence, who shared his experience with technology solutions like Xero, QuickBooks, Financio and Google Workspace. Lawrence attributed the Accountancy Industry Digital Plan (IDP) jointly developed by the Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants (ISCA) and Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA), supported by the Singapore Accountancy Commission (SAC) to helping him digitally transform 3E Accounting. This has allowed 100% of 3E Accounting employees to work remotely and maintain productivity during the Circuit Breaker period.
In addition, ISCA has created a COVID-19 Navigator to address the various challenges faced by accountants. It summarises the relevant schemes announced through the Government’s Support Package, industry transformation and development programmes as well as ISCA’s initiatives.
