Welcome to our September newsletter! As we step into September, we’re excited to share updates from across our offices in Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong, and Indonesia. We have made some incredible progress these last 9 months across all our branches, and each story highlights how we’re supporting businesses and adapting to changes across the region.

3E Accounting Partners with Aspire Launchpad
3E Accounting has teamed up with Aspire Launchpad as an Incorporation and Corporate Secretary partner. This collaboration gives new business owners a seamless journey, from setting up their company to managing banking and compliance in one digital process. Aspire shares our vision of making entrepreneurship effortless, and together we’re turning complex regulatory requirements into a single, digital experience.
This means that 3E’s streamlined package handles name reservation, ACRA filing, and first-year secretarial needs, starting from just SGD 109, Aspire users get personalised partner recommendations across accounting, insurance and venture capital. This collaboration also means built-in compliance, as 3E’s qualified company secretaries maintain statutory registers and AGM filings while Aspire automates payments, FX and expense controls. Cheers to new beginnings, because we know there is only more to come from here on out.
We’re Moving to A New Office Location in Malaysia!
From 1 September 2025, our Malaysia team is welcoming clients to a new office at Menara Bangkok Bank. This move reflects our commitment to providing a professional, accessible, and supportive space for clients and our growing team. All our contact details remain unchanged, and the relocation is about improving efficiency and client experience.
3E’s new office sits in the heart of Kuala Lumpur’s central business district, delivering an excellent connectivity across the city via major roads, highways and transport stations while ensuring a professional and secure environment with surrounding embassies, banks, hotels, and premium restaurants. From 1 September 2025 onwards, all 3E’s clients may visit its new office premise at Menara Bangkok Bank for any physical appointments and/or meetings, collection of letters and/or parcels or any other on-site matters with the firm as the company vacates its current office premise at Menara Centara. All contact information with 3E such as its general hotline and the corresponding email addresses will remain the same with no changes.
Hong Kong Ranked 3rd Worldwide for Competitiveness
Hong Kong has been ranked the third most competitive economy in the world. Investments in technology, green finance, and infrastructure—such as airport upgrades and cross-border innovation hubs—have boosted its standing.
The strong ranking shows Hong Kong’s resilience and its firm place as a global hub for finance and commerce. The rise in Hong Kong competitiveness highlights the city’s ongoing recovery and recalibration of economic strategy. With high rankings in governance, business environment, investment, and education, it has reinforced its position as a global financial and commercial centre.
New ECommerce Rules Coming Soon in Indonesia
Indonesia is preparing new tax rules for online marketplaces, requiring platforms to handle tax collection for their sellers. This change is designed to boost state revenue and bring online trade more in line with traditional retail. The new regulations, expected to be announced soon, will affect major platforms including TikTok Shop, Shopee, Lazada, Tokopedia, Blibli, and Bukalapak.
The reform is part of broader efforts to improve tax collection as revenue has fallen 11.4% year-on-year in the first five months of 2025. The dip is attributed to lower commodity prices, slower growth, and disruptions in the tax system upgrade.
