All Singapore Business Will Be Required to Have CorpPass from 1 September 2018
Dear Valued Clients,
Greetings from the team at 3E Accounting!
Beginning 1 September 2018, it will now be mandatory for all business in Singapore to transact online using a CorpPass Account. The Singapore government announced last year that CorpPass will be the only acceptable login method for businesses who wish to continue transacting with the government. All previous methods, including EASY and SingPass, will no longer be in use from 1 September 2018.
CorpPass Account is a requirement for your business and other entities or associations as your digital business identity. This identity will be used for any transactions with Government agencies which are performed online. CorpPass will be required for all local entities bearing a Unique Entity Number (UEN) and for foreign business entities who wish to access the Government-to-Business digital services in Singapore.
CorpPass is owned by the Ministry of Finance and managed by the Government Technology Agency (GovTech). CorpPass marks the first time that the government is unveiling a single corporate digital identity, and this step will help create more opportunities for services and transactions to be conducted online in a convenient and secure manner.
